Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.
And I honestly don't know when it will be finished - which oddly enough brings us to the good news:
I've made a new, major decision in the SPIKE story that I think a lot of you will be happy to hear. As usual I don't want to spoil too much, but there is a part in the story where Spike and Sam are separated from each other for quite a long while. Music Is My Inspiration ContestWell guys I've decided to start my own contest, because I had awesome feedback on the idea ^_^
It'll be my first contest that I've held...EVER! So it's very exciting :3

Playing: Wii fit plus
Eating: Not very hungry.
Drinking: Water and water and water.....

Well, I guess I now know what jumping to conclusion mean and it really sucks.
I shall try to work on me so I don't do that anymore.

You see, there was this person I found cool and all. Really nice to talk to and that I was considering a convention friend, but since she jumped to conclusion to quickly, I can not even talk to her anymore as she is playing the ignorance game. She took me off all the things that was communication and following art site.
I am not upset because she did that to herself. She jumped to conclusion.

So yeah. I don't want to do that to my friends and my fiancée, so I'll just try to think before I jump myself to quickly to a false conclusion.
Sorry it's just on my mind because it's fresh. I just found this act childish. Oh well. That is what happen when it's a long distance relationship, I guess.

On an other note, I try my best to be able to come to AN10... I won't say I am not coming as I am not sure... Will see what will be going on this week and next probably.
So please don't say: Oh that is so sad - or - I'll miss you.
I prefer to hear positive comments as: Will pray for you - or - You will make it!

I have lost my will to cosplay because of that..., but I'll ask my watchers and my friends to tell me: How do you guys pass over this? What should I do to give me back my will even if I don't go to the con. (I don't say I won't... I'll try everything I can to come!)

people jump to conclusions or tend to think what's good for THEM and forget about the other person... I feel you there :S

I guess even if she was nice, friends like that are not worth it in the end, and you can really count those who you should care for

Jumping to conclusion is never a good thing. I don't know the person or her motives and the reason behind her behavior but I must agree with you that it's kinda childish. If she had a problem, it would have been better to talk things through instead of ignoring. If anything, it's her loss really.

I know how you feel though, when something bothers me, it lingers within me and I have a hard time getting rid of it. What I usually do to make it through is that I talk about my feelings to my bf so that he can implant some rationality into me before I do something I may regret. Also, I play video games, they're my hands on therapy.

What you do in the long run is your decision but to be honest, I surely hope you'll be there at Anime North. You and your fiancée are some of the nicest people I met through cosplay and it would sadden me to lose you because of someone else's negative actions.

I really hope you'll (and want you to) get the will to work on your costumes and go to AN. Your truly a talented cosplayer. Also, I think conventions are a great escape, you always feel good at a con!

I would understand if something came up and you wouldn't be able to come because of your formation but I sure hope you'll be able to make it though!

Sure, a convention is a motivation to create costumes and cosplay but there's always photoshoots that could also be a source of inspiration and a drive to create! (I personally can't wait to go to one, after missing out on G-Anime, I'm in deep need to cosplay lol I need to work out first though...ate like pig during x-mas XD lol)

I've also just noticed that the person concerned seemed to have replied a lil while back...Obviously, there's always two sides to a medal so I hope you guys get to work things out
